Harry Daniels (1940-2004) - Métis Leader/Activist/Artist. Aside from Louis Riel, Harry Daniels is the only other man who can be credited with the introduction of the Metis rights into the Consititution of Canada. Mr. Daniels was a respected and outspoken Metis leader on the national scene, elected to the position of president of the Native Council of Canada (now the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples) several times and also enjoyed a brief career as an actor. A fluent speaker of Cree, Harry had a flair for life and his flamboyant sense of style and charisma was envied by all who knew him.
